"For the last 3 years I escaped the cold Michigan winters to attend Amy's yoga retreat in Tulum. From beginning to end, Amy created a wonderful week where I learned much about my yoga practice, met great friends and enjoyed Amy's many gifts amidst a backdrop of beautiful sunrises, great ocean walks and a wonderful retreat center. " -Julie Silver - Michigan Yoga on the River: A Women's Solstice Retreat - Rafting the KlamathSummer 2010 (Dates still to be confirmed) with Amy CooperThree days and two nights being on the river, camping both nights at Rock Creek, a secluded and pristine beach. The retreat includes morning and afternoon yoga, meditation and the practice of silence to integrate our experience. Our river guides are women from Mount Shasta's Turtle River Rafting Company. The corpse pose and meditation went deep. It has been an inspiration for me ever since to try to find this balance and lightness in my yoga practice at home and in my life in general. This trip has also shown me that it is empowering to stretch my limits and try seemingly impossible things such as a handstand in the sand, and going through rapids in a kayak although I had never kayaked before in my life." -Annie Reinhardt Shasta Yoga Center Retreats Disclaimer:We provide a nurturing and safe environment and all care and responsibility is taken throughout the retreat to each participant but, participants are asked to take personal responsibility for their own self-care and (in the unlikely case) for any injuries incurred during retreat.
